Why Test?
Working safely and healthily is the primary concern and why testing for asbestos, lead, and mold occurs. There may be regulatory requirements as well. These are not the only concerns, however. Read on.
Waste disposal facilities are now requiring hard copy asbestos test results to accompany your haul. Don’t get refused at the gate. Have your asbestos test results in hand (digital is not accepted). Some facilities won’t accept a report older than 30 days either.
JSE has not heard any complaints from clients over being stopped for lead paint or mold. Contact the disposal facility if you have questions regarding lead paint or mold- contaminated building waste disposal.

As our fastest option, “Express Rush” samples are automatically placed directly at the top of our laboratory queue and completed before all other samples.
Same Day by 4:00pm
Are you up against a deadline and need results fast? JSE Labs offers accelerated same-day rush testing services so you don’t have to delay your project.
Regular
If you’re not in a rush, you can choose one of our budget friendly 1, 2 and 3 day turnaround options to suit your specific needs and timeline.

Third, Submitting In-Person Samples
Follow our guides on how to safely collect an asbestos or lead sample.
Once you’ve obtained a testing sample, you can drop it off at our laboratory located at 3315 SE Harrison Street in Milwaukie, OR.
We’re open Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00am and 4:00pm.

Completing the Required Sample Submission Custody Form
Missed Us During Business Hours? No Problem
When the lobby is closed, use JSE’s convenient After-Hours Sample Drop, which is simply the mail slot in the front door. Materials are provided in the box to the left of the front door.
Ensure your samples bags are sealed and that your custody form is complete.

- Package it up. Place the smaller bags in a larger bag with the custody form.
- Slide the package through the mail slot.
- JSE will call the next business day for payment and start the clock on your deadline.
- Done !

If you live outside the Milwaukie area or can’t make it to our physical location, no worries!
We accept mail-in samples from anywhere in the United States.
Fourth, When You Will Receive Your Report
Deadlines apply to JSE’s regular workdays only.
- Reports for Express deadlines are emailed within 2 hours.
- Reports for all other deadlines are emailed by 4:00pm.
JSE strives to work ahead of deadlines. Results may appear in your in-box sooner than expected. If you don’t see your results by 3:30 pm of your assigned day, and you can’t find them in your Trash or Spam, then call us for a status check at 503-309-9536. Small word of warning: Keep in mind, deadlines are estimates only. Once in a long while, deadlines can be adversely affected by inclement weather, heavy workloads, or short staffing.
Fifth, How You Will Receive Your Report
Reports are delivered to your email from “Analysis Report”, contact@jselabs.com Don’t have access to a printer? No problem. Feel free to stop by and pick up a hard copy of your test results or have us “snail mail” one to you via USPS.
Lastly, Where to Dispose of Building Debris
If your results come back positive we recommend taking your debris to one of these Oregon Asbestos Disposal Sites.
